Because of Chicago's large multi-ethnic population, a wide variety of faiths are practiced. Various Christian denominations, including diverse Orthodox, Catholic, and Protestant churches, are found throughout the area, along with adherents of Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, Sikhism, the Bahá'í, and many others. The result is that the city has a wealth of amazing architectural monuments of different religious faiths, from "Polish Cathedrals", to Sikh Gurdwaras and Hindu Temples.
Additionally the city's central location and prominence as a world class city has led to Chicago being a prominent religious center. Chicago is home to a wide range of theological institutions, including seminaries and colleges such as the Moody Bible Institute and DePaul University. In the northern suburb of Wilmette, Illinois, is the Bahá'í Temple, the only temple for the Bahá'í Faith in North America. Chicago is also the seat of numerous religious leaders from a host of bishops of a wide array of Christian denominations as well as other religions.
